Our oil filters are specifically designed for use in a tough marine environment, unlike an automotive engine which is started nearly ever day, a boat engine sits for long periods of time. A boat will also see higher RPM's over a wider temperature range and shock loads that a car never sees. Our filters are designed with all of this in mind.
- Metal End Caps- are sealed to the element so oil can't leak past and get back into the engine unfiltered.
- Filter Element- is a resin impregnated, heat-cured, paper media with microscopic pores that capture and hold harmful particles.
- Anti Drain Back Valve- keeps oil from draining out of the engine during shut down preventing "dry" starts
- Back Plate- has a rolled seam to prevent leaks into the bilge
