    If I go only for throttle and shift control - no electrics - wouldnt one be able to make this work? Or would the the big twin need larger stroke and the gear linkage than this can provide?

    Ok so I got the coil pack off, had to pry a little, think it was glued to the intake cover. With the intake cover cone I could see the side of the pistons and on no 3 there was damage. In the intake channel I found 3 pieces of wire approx 2 mm in diameter (dont know where those came from??)...

    Johnson 1972 20 hp (25 hp) no sparks

    The motor is rated 20 hp but its most likely a derated 25 hp meant for the european market. There is no spark on either spark plug, what would be possible faults. Any advice appreciated, thanks.

    Same intake on 1983 and 1992 25 hp?

    Hi does anyone know if its the same intake on the 1983 hp and the 1992 model? Different OEM but they sure look the same on the diagram, gaskets also differ on OEM but look exactly the same. Maybe they switch OEM towards customer for some reason (increase sales or such). Does anyone know?

    Evinrude 20 (25) HP 1983 shakes when idling

    Hi, like the title says the motor shakes when idling, the entire engine and the "bowl" its mounted in and the rig shakes. Shakes the same whether its in neutral, back or forward.
