    I removed the oil injector tank, and I am premixing my oil and gas. But I have the hose that goes from the tank to the motor open. If I block it, the alarm goes off. I don't know if it affects how it runs with the hose open. Any suggestions.

    I had the lower end apart and installed a new water pump. I did not install it properly, so when I started it, the pump did not work. I took it back apart and repaired the problem. NOW the alarm goes off. How do you turn it off?

    going along at a steady speed, and it feels like it goes into neutral. I put the shifter in neutral and back down into drive, and it works. I took the lower end apart and inspected the gears and everything looked ok.

    well, I will have to take it as a lesson learned. so by the splines on the shaft, I have a much older lower end than I was told. could I use the body and put my gears in it because the lower part of mine is no longer there, the part that protects the prop? thanks for your time.

    I drove 5 hrs almost to Arkansaw and picked up a Johnson lower-end. I'm looking at the end of the drive shafts and the Evinrude has 16 splines and the Johnson has 4 will changing the drive shafts make it work? Is there a special tool to install the gear and nut back on the driveshaft?
