Hi all
Just getting ready to take the boat out for the first time this year... on starting the motor I had the motor running no problem, when I went to restart it a few hours later it turned over a few times, on the third time turning the key it stopped cranking and all I get now is a loud click sound which as far as I can tell is coming from the starter solenoid, nothing else happens.
The motor is a 1972 65hp evinrude electric shift model no. 65273
Does anyone have any idea what may be the issue? and is there anyway to fix it? can you bypass the solenoid if you get caught like this on the water?
cheers
Paul
