Rate the dirtiness of my IAC/EAC valve screen

Just removed.... looks fairly grubby. How should I clean this... carb cleaner?

Carb cleaner and an old tooth brush. I think that screen pops out for easier cleaning.

I agree carb cleaner will probably work well but I've also found good old WD-40 IS a pretty good "grime fighter" on stuff like this.

To follow on from this, I've cleaned the screen up nicely but should I be cleaning inside the valve itself or should that be OK?

The vale is soliniode opperated.

But should I be squirting some carb cleaner in there or is just cleaning the screen enough?

I used some electrical spray cleaner in there and carb spray for the mesh.
