Honda outboard engine code

I have a 2018 HONDA bf250a outboard after running for a couple minutes I am getting a warning alarm (beeps every couple of second. I inserted a shunt and am getting a consistent flashing engine light every couple of seconds as a code. Any idea what this means? It seemed to run fine for the short time I ran it.

Didn't know what I was doing when I uploaded that screenshot.
Just wanted to point out that the 1 blink is listed as O2 sensor or wiring issue but could be as simple as a misfiring spark plug.
I don't have any experience with these outboards so that's pretty much all I can offer.
That code list is from the mid 2000's but I think it still applies to the later A model. Not 100% sure though.

Good luck.

Whew! Those are expensive!

But I hope it solves the issue.

Please let us know how it goes.

Good luck.

You should have done some more diagnosis before shelling out big bucks for an HO2 sensor. For example, pull the plugs. If they are all black sooty, then it is probably the HO2 sensor - the plug contacts should be a milk chocolate color. However, if one of the plug contacts is bright and shiny, then you have a plug or coil not firing on that cylinder. The unburnt fuel cleans the plug anodes.

Also, fuel-pressure out of spec can throw a "1" code. So, a fuel pressure test should also be part of the diagnostics.
