Honda BF40 - Removing shifter knob

Hey folks,

Did a Google search before posting, but all I got was results for cars :rolleyes:

I'm in the process of swapping a tiller handle onto a console motor and have ran into the issue of not knowing how to remove the shifter knob

I'm not sure if the knob pries off or what my next step is. I appreciate any help y'all can give me.

Just drive the tension sleeve put with the correct pin punch and it will come out

Man! That thing is buried in there! I agree about using a correctly sized pin punch on the spring pin but you may need to remove the piece of linkage at the top first in order to position the pin for enough clearance to push all the way out.

Just a guess as I've never done one.
