BF5D 4 stroke leaking oil

I have 5 hp BF5D that leaks oil out of the carburator when it is laying on it side on the floor. on the proper side, why does it do that?

It should not leak !-----Or too much oil in there.-----Post a picture of it laying down.

Agree with racerone....probably over full on oil OR it's not lying on level surface.

You now have oil in the intake and it will go directly into the cylinder from there. So, pull the spark plug and pull it over a few times to clear it out before you try starting it again to prevent any problems from occurring.

You're laying it on the wrong side, all portable hondas should beclaid down with the tiller handle on the up side.
