I have twin 225 Hondas the motors run good but I run the boat for about a hour and 45 minutes and alarm comes i turn off the motor that the went on and turn it right back on and the boat runs fine for the rest of the day it did this twice already i got new 02 sensor put same think alarms comes on again

Hi,
Just a guess but...

Do your outboards have the fuel strainers with the electric water sensors? See item 18 in the link.
Again, I don't know but I think these things might set off an alarm. It might be worthwhile to check them for "moisture".

Just a thought

Good luck.
Thanks it's really giving me trouble i had it in the shop twice but no luck the motors run great but that alarm keeps coming on but just for a short time then the motor runs great the rest of the day

Well, there's a couple of guys here that are very sharp on the 225 Honda but not me.
Hopefully they will answer you with some ideas.

I’m not a smart 225 guy but it would help to know the year of yours. In my experience, Honda outboards are sensitive to a blockage in the cooling passages, putting them into alarm.
Check your thermostats and water pump if not done recently.

Are there any codes set- red lights on?

Good points by NSDON.

Adding to what he said:

I've seen posts about problems with the water hoses at the exhaust manifolds causing problems.

Hoses with sharp bends can have a tendency to plug with minerals, debris and possibly even sea life. This could cause a phenomenon called "localized heating" that the sensors can detect.

See items 6, 7, 8, 9 in the link below.

(As NSDON pointed out, I don't know what year or model you have so I just picked one....but, they are all fairly similar to one another)

If you can access the hoses, it might be worth your time to pull them off and inspect them internally. If you find any blockage or deteriorioration they should be replaced.

Again, good luck solving the issue.

Pull codes. Procedure is attached. The second document tells you what the codes mean. Then let us know what you get.
