This video is actually saying ethanol in concentrations over 10 percent is not allowed in the marine industry. My reasoning says; "Why use any at all"? We don't have too, if we have non oxy available.....lets protect our equipment. Ethanol is not the answer. It even causes early deterioration in our diesel fuels today. I cant use the new diesels in my Cat and Case tractors.....I will ruin them. Gotta use heating oil, then I fortify it with an Amsoil additive. My machinery runs perfectly and clean. The ethanol laced fuels have a very short and unstable shelf life, especially when stored in a vented system. As a veteran marine, auto, and heavy diesel mechanic, it is my job to not only repair and maintain equipment, but to educate my customers. Shops may avoid the truth.....there are lots of people making big money from the damaging effects of ethanol. We all pay for it, like it or not.
