short continuous beeps at idle after five minutes then shuts off. I have replace 02 sensor which everyone said was the problem but still have same issue.

Hi,
I don't know....I've never worked on a 225 Honda.

I do have automotive experience though and quite often it can be necessary to "reset" the ECM after a repair.

One technique is called a "global reset".

Which means to discharge the memory capacitors in the computer so that all previously learned operational parameters are erased and the computer goes back to and starts learning from the factory "base" settings.

This is done by disconnecting the battery and letting it sit for a period to allow the power to drain from the capacitors.

The problem can be though that it can take quite a while for the caps to discharge completely this way. Sometimes letting sit for 24 hours still isn't enough for some computers.

A faster, more reliable way is to remove the negative cable from the battery and connect it directly to the positive cable for at least 15 to 30 minutes.

Using a small jumper wire to securely connect both cables together is often necessary to ensure complete capacitor discharge takes place.

People will freak out when it's suggested to connect the cable ends together but, as long as the cable and all other wires connected at the negative battery post are completely disconnected from the post and no accidental reconnection is possible, this is a perfectly safe procedure.

It's always a good idea to cover the negative battery post with something non-conductive like a rag or glove to prevent any accidental reconnection when doing this.

I'm not sure if this will solve the issue but it's actually something that's easy and quick to try.

Just an idea.

Good luck.

Well, "EVERYBODY" does not know what they are talking about. The only thing that will shut down this engine once running is an overheat. And when running on muffs, they overheat a lot.

Pull codes, record codes, reset ECU, then run until you get an alarm, then pull the fresh codes and let us know what you see. Procedure is attached.

thanks but I don't have the four lights just two.

Try JGMO's reset technique. If that doesn't help and without the 4-light console, you are shooting in the dark. Get to a dealer or Honda repair shop who has a working Dr. H to get full diagnostics.

I got the dealer to run the diag and it said 02 sensor which I replace with after market and OEM and go the same result except the OEM shutoffs the engine after the beeps and the other just keeps beeping.

Are you testing this engine on muffs? If so, then you are probably not getting enough cooling water, so the engine is shutting down from overheating.

In the long run, it may pay you to have a dealer install the four-light harness and display. You can run a lot of diagnostics yourself with that set up.

Yes I am using the muffs. I will take it out I guess and have them install the four light hardness display if it's not ok. Thanks
