I had just bought a 1999 Ranger Cherokee 207 with Johnson 90hp model J90pleeb it has been sitting for 2 years. Before trying to start I am going thru everything I can think of. starting to go thru fuel system and the fuel line is full of oil and even in the carburetors I took one of the brass screws out of what I am assuming is float bowel and oil came out of there to. Is it possible that oil from the oil injecting sucked back in over time thru the hole system. I am new to the outboard motor seen but been around boats all my life. Question is how do I get all the oil out of fuel tank and I am assuming that I need to pull off carburetors and clean and go thru. I have been trying to find some place were I can find out the workings of outboards and oil injection system. Thanks for your help please.
