    I have what I thought was a 1979 Mariner 40be made by yamaha. When I look up the serial # it says 40EL. Can anyone provide insight? I’m trying to find the weight and parts.

    Thanks for the help. That’s the one for the NS3.5A2, which I was told wouldn’t work due to the 2 wires going in. I should have taken a better pic of mine. I’ll add a pic showing the 1 wire vs 2. Maybe it’s the same and I can cut the 2 wires cap one and splice the proper fitting on the other, but...

    I was given an older Nissan NS3.5A motor. I was told it only needs the ignition coil to run. There’s some hairline cracks and supposedly it let moisture in, see pic.     Hi, I’m looking for a control box to replace one I have that broke. I attached a picture if anyone has one for sale. I was told this is an old teleflex universal, and also that a Yamaha 703 would work. If anyone has a used or old one they can sell I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks John

    I have an old Mariner 40be made by Yamaha in 79, which has always run excellent. I went out to start it in the yard with water hooked up and it started up perfectly. After having the throttle up a bit I throttle down and the box broke where the cable goes in. I have no clue what I can replace...
