I have an old Mariner 40be made by Yamaha in 79, which has always run excellent. I went out to start it in the yard with water hooked up and it started up perfectly. After having the throttle up a bit I throttle down and the box broke where the cable goes in. I have no clue what I can replace this with, and what’s compatible. Maybe I should just use some sort of epoxy and try to fix it. I couldn’t care less what it looks like, just want it to work.
