    Rev limiter?

    I have a johnson j150plees it surges when trying to go wot. I been told it could be the rev limiter, but I can't find it in my manual. Where is it located? Is it in the power pack?

    Motor surge/kill switch update. Frustrated!

    Ok replaced ignition switch which took care of the kill switch problem. But the motor surge is still a problem. Had a bad head gasket, fixed that. Bad ignition coil, fixed that. Bad thermostat, fixed that. Now the idle is still not adjusted and noticed that one carb did not seem to respond to...

    Kill switch ?

    I'm pretty sure my ignition / kill switch is bad . The lanyard is off and it still runs. Is there any way to check this & were can I get a new one ? It is push to choke also.

    :confused: I read on another post where I person had only 95# on one cylinder and was told that it would affect the carbs. I'm wanting to know if this true? If I done my compression check right I would only have a average of around 95#s on all my cylinders. My motor surges when going to wot...
