    If neither the switch at the throttle control at the steering station, or the switch back at the motor is working, it's not the switches. Really unlikely they'd both go bad at the same time. I'd check the power connections going to the 12v motor that runs the hydraulics. They are really...

    I have a very fine running this 82 Merc 70 triple. What octane gas do you recommend, and should I run ethanol free and avoid the gasohol? Also, the good book says the motor is designed to run on 50:1. Anyone running 25:1 or other ratios on these older motors? Thanks....Bill

    Hello, I'm running a 1982 Merc 70 outboard L3. 145 psi on all 3 cylinders. Some guys open up the jet a little on the top carb to rich out the fuel air to reduce top cylinder failure. What has helped you guys out there? 1/8 turn out? 1/4 turn out? Appreciate your suggestions...
