  Berdink replied to the thread 1979 Evinrude 115 has no spark what's the first part I should buy?.
  
  The shop manual says to first try unplugging the kill switch wire at the motor. Likely a black wire with a yellow stripe.

  Mine blew once when my trim switch at my control box was bad. I replaced the trim switch and it's good now.
