    To assure myself, I tried 4 different ones. 2 had me at 90, 2 had me at 120.

    And it doesn't matter if it's a brand new compression tester, you need one with a Schrader valve at the piece that screws into the spark plug hole.

    You might go to Napa Auto Parts, AutoZone, any local parts store and ask them about the "Borrow a Tool" program. My compression tester was reading 90psi. I borrowed one from a couple stores and I got 120 with theirs. .

    I was suggested to put your hand in front of the carburetors and see if gas is spitting back at you. . Another suggestion was to take them out and see if you can see light between the fins and the surface they rest against.

    One thing I try to do is take lots of pictures before and as I take things apart. I try to do it before I make any adjustments also. . It has saved me many times.

    The shop manual says to first try unplugging the kill switch wire at the motor. Likely a black wire with a yellow stripe.

    Mine blew once when my trim switch at my control box was bad. I replaced the trim switch and it's good now.

    Hello, I don't think I've posted here in these forums yet. I've been getting help over at iboats. . Im currently going through things like the carb and ignition, but I'm curious what guys think this sounds like, . Ignition or Fuel issue? .
