    Plug that was in there is 3/8" Fine Thread(pics) I tried a new plug with lip and washer(doesn't fit)! It's weird!

    I have an Evinrude Sportsman 4425 1.5hp that needs gearcase oil replaced! I've drained some of lower unit oil(gunk in picture), but cant seem to get rest of gunk out of there as it's really thick! Would gas or mineral spirits run through top hole work to clean all of it out of there? Or those...

    Gearcase oil leaking through hole in side

    I have a 1990 Evinrude 25 lg shaft and changed gearcase oil through bottom hole correctly! I notice while engine is running, oil leaking through hole in pic! Mystery hole or not supposed to be there?

    I have a 1990 Evi 25ELESE that will only stay running with the key pushed(and held) in! Carb is clean! primer solenoid? Fuel pump? the controller is a OMC model! It says push key to activate solenoid primer while turning on! But I have to HOLD IN while key is on to keep motor running!

    I'm looking at a 1969 Evinrude 25 sport and wondering what the compression #'s should be on this(good) and bad compression #'s? I have a compression tester! I will do this COLD!

    Mercury 7.5 not spitting out water while running?

    I have a 1971 Merc 7.5hp that I got running, but not pumping OUT water! Could this be the reason why it's not? I have priced the impellers out on ebay and found one for $10, genuine? One is 47-89981 the other is 18-3039?

    7.5hp merc doesn't stay running

    I have a 1970 Merc 7.5hp that only starts when in gear, full throttle! I put in neutral, does not start! It shuts off after a few seconds in gear full throttle! Has strong spark, clean carburetor! P.S When in neutral handle only turns about half way!
