Gearcase oil leaking through hole in side

I have a 1990 Evinrude 25 lg shaft and changed gearcase oil through bottom hole correctly! I notice while engine is running, oil leaking through hole in pic! Mystery hole or not supposed to be there?

That drains a cavity in the casting.-----Factory put the hole there..-----Gearcases are pressure tested when looking for leaks.
