Is it possible that the shifter got bumped? That would prevent it from turning over, Also don't dick around with a fuel leak, that cound render the whole purchase idea moot. Good luck.
I had a starter like that one and had to take a grinder to the nose cone. That said I replaced it with one of the newer types and will never go back. It is lighter and has much more torque.
If it started when you installed the new alternator then I would pull it and get it tested for output. While your at it check you wires for loose or dirty connections.
You should be able to. You will have to unbolt the shaft and push it back and then the velvet drive after blocking up the back of the engine. then remove the bell housing. The velvet drive is heavy so you should probably have someone there to help you lift it out. It is a good idea to take...
I have wet exhaust and bought an adapter that goes between the manifold and the riser from CP Performance, cost was $99.00. I have read that they are coming out with a Sniper 2 so you might want to wait and see what the difference is. That said I am very satisfied with it so far.
I thought I would do a follow up on this post. I did decide to go with the Holly aftermarket EFI "Sniper". I have been very satisfied with the performance. It fires right up and has better throttle response than the Carb that used to be on it. The only thing I don't care for and has taken some...
Sounds like a loose wire or connection. As Mark said start wiggling the wires until it quits. Also does it quit whichever way that you turn or just one way? That could help you in locating the issue.
I am doing some work on my exhaust manifolds and risers, the gaskets have 3 openings for water flow. why is the 4th one blocked off? Foolish me I have forgotten which one is blocked, I think it's the bottom one but I'm not positive and don't want to have to do this twice. Can someone remind me...
I have a older engine set up which uses a Rochester 4 jet carburetor, not to be confused with a quadrajet. All 4 venturis are the same size which precludes me from getting a more modern carburetor. I am looking at Holly's Sniper EFI and was wondering if anyone has used one and how well it works...
Good morning,
I have a question I hope someone can answer for me. I have a 350 cubic inch Chevy with 150 hours on it, when running along at 3000 rpm's the temp gauge is showing 190 degrees. If I use an IR gun to check the temp it shows 149 degrees where the sending unit is and 170 on the coolant...
