    I had a starter like that one and had to take a grinder to the nose cone. That said I replaced it with one of the newer types and will never go back. It is lighter and has much more torque.

    I have wet exhaust and bought an adapter that goes between the manifold and the riser from CP Performance, cost was $99.00. I have read that they are coming out with a Sniper 2 so you might want to wait and see what the difference is. That said I am very satisfied with it so far.

    Sounds like a loose wire or connection. As Mark said start wiggling the wires until it quits. Also does it quit whichever way that you turn or just one way? That could help you in locating the issue.
