Will a 3.0 OMC Cobra replace a 2.3 OMC Cobra?

I have a boat with a 2.3 OMC cobra that is shot along with the outdrive....i can get a 3.0 OMC Cobra motor, transom bracket, and outdrive fairly cheap. Will it swap out without any major modifications?

yup. I'd look at the engine mounting areas inside the hull. They can get soft. You'll need a new gasket that goes on the outside part of the drive that bolts to the hull.
