What Carb ?

I have a 1985 ski supreme with a 351 ford motor in it . Last year when I pulled the boat out I noticed the oil smelled like gas and the oil level went up a little . I was intending to rebuild the carb this spring but when i pulled it off i noticed it was not a marine carb . Its a holley four barrel . What carb do I replace it with . Holley 4160 marine ? How many cfm ?

A failing mechanical fuel pump can allow gas to leak into the engines oil pan. Not good. It will dilute the oil and can also be a fire hazard.

Before you get all jiggy with the carb, I'd verify that the fuel pump isn't messed up.

A 1985 boat with original carb and fuel pump should have the fuel system replaced. With the introduction of ethanol fuel, old hoses and other parts (like fuel pump diaphragms) can be attacked by the new formulated gas. Update to ethanol resistant parts.
