Does anyone have a source for the welch plugs used on the old metal single line OMC gas tanks? I'm talking about the plugs on the back of the fuel connection that sits on top of the tank. Thanks Joe.

oh the bandit dealers have them around here for 3 bucks each! Sorry I understand making a profit but that is pure greed. These plugs probably cost .25 to make. Hoping to find a source with reasonable prices.

Take a penny.----File it till you get the right size.----Epoxy it in there.---- I do not believe they make any $$$ by providing you with the correct part for your tank.----The $3 includes time to process the order , shipping, warehousing , overhead , etc.----Remember at most marinas their time is $2.-- / minute.----Walk over I can give you a couple !

I've found Grangers, McMaster-Carr (https://www.mcmaster.com/) and other Industrial Distributers have Welch Plugs If you know what size you need. Also Small Engine Service and sales places like (https://jackssmallengines.com/) have them but they often stock them only by part number, not dimension. I've been hunting the .500 size for small Evinrude/ Johnson carbs and found a guy on eBay willing to check the dimension for me but it's an uphill battle. Good luck. Hey racerone: interesting idea, thanks!
