water in oil normal?

I have a 75hp 1996 Honda with very low hours. I use it only for 4 weeks in a year. When checking the oil after running, I noticed that the oil in the upper half of the dipstick has a white colour. Is that normal? The engine is a jewel, nothing better. VERY light on fuel, very silent and running smooth, no smoke. I am just worried about the oil. Is it something waiting to happen?

I would suggest getting it checked at your dealer...
water in the crankcase oil is not good. :(
could be as simple as a poor seal, or as complex as a cracked engine block.
get it checked to be safe.

Thanks for the bad news! I am now more worried. Couldnt it be condensation? I use the boat at the sea. I must admitted that I checked the oil the following day before I go fishing. Every time I checked the colour is as mentioned. The oillevel stays the same, always full. As I am new to boating and this forum, I remember something similar on this forum, but I dont know wat the answer was. My problem is that I am nearly 250 km from a dealer. Thanks for replying!

Have you changed the oil yet to see if the problem is persistent ?
i would try that first and then run it for a couple of hours.
Check to see if the fresh oil is contaminated and then make a call
as to what the next step is.

Expanding on Dark_Star's advice, I suspect that you are dealing more with condensation from the motor sitting up for such long periods of time, rather than a leak. Before your next outing, change the oil. Run the engine as hard and as often as you can. Then, when you are ready to put it up, check the oil to see if it milky or not. If not, it was likely condensation. If it is milky, then you do have a leak.
