I was told that my outboard, (a 1970 evinrude 115 hp) has to warm up to 145 degrees before it starts to circulate and exit the motor. Is this true or false? model number is 115083D. And I also need to know if there is a starter bracket for a 20 hp evinrude? Thanks in advance.

Yes as water is diverted back to impeller till veratherm opens
