What do you do about water leaking out of the power head of 115 horse Mercury outboard two stroke

Is it leaking near the sparkplugs ?----A 6 and 4 cylinder ?---On them you would replace the water jacket gasket.

It is an inline six cylinder and yes it is leaking through the spark plug area. Is the correct part "term" a water jacket gasket. I am having problems getting the right part.

I am waiting for the part to come that I ordered. Where it is an old boat, I have made some mistakes as to the correct part.

I need advice on this motor. It is a 1974 115 horse two stroke inline six cylinder motor that has been leaking water out of the spark plug holes when in operation. The serial number is 3762229. I believe what will solve the water leakage is a water jacket gasket. I have ordered what I thought were the correct gaskets but have found them to be incorrect.

That gasket is for the inner exhaust cover on that motor.-----Order the correct gasket.

I have the correct water jacket gasket. Now I am looking for the gasket that goes between the power head(bottom) and the lower unit. Trying to attach a picture of what I am talking about but the file is too large.

Resize your photos to under 1Mb
It can be done right from this site. See the little button at the bottom of where you type, the one that says ATTACH FILES?
When you click on it, you get the option to chose a file from “photo library”, or take a photo.
Once you chose one from the library that is already on your phone, (it will open your entire library), select the one you want. Now, before you do anything else, look at the bottom left corner- it will say OPTIONS.
Choose that & you get choices of LARGE, MED, SMALL. Try one, it will give the new size that will be attached. If it’s less than 1Mb, say 294Kb, then select DONE, then ADd, up at the top right.
