Venom 200 stalling out

Hey boating brothers. I am new to the forum and to boating. I have a 1997 Johnson Venom 200 that is running rough, and stalls out once it warms up and the choke shuts off, or when I have it in the water and attempt to get it up over about 1000-1200 rpm. One spark plug (we'll call it #3, middle port side) looks like it is not getting any (or enough) fuel to the cylinder, and when I performed a high idle check on pressure by putting my hand over the carb, the engine idled a bit smoother. I have been through all 6 carburetors thoroughly and nothing there seems to be at issue, and I have replaced the fuel line, inline filter and primer bulb in the past month, and performed a "wind bubble" check of the lines to and from the VRO to be sure it wasn't a pressure issue in the line.

It was suggested that it might be a voltage issue, or something wrong with the reeds behind the intake manifold, or needles, or... I am hoping I don't have to go through an overhaul to figure this out. Any help out there for a newB??

Thanks.
Lance

I have to leave town for a couple days over the weekend and will perform the compression when I get back on Tuesday. The engine was compression tested by the former owner's shop a few months before I acquired it, and all 6 were high 80's and low 90's. I need to connect the dots as to old compression numbers, spark plug and carburetor signs...

Explain a " wind bubble " check.-----Never heard the term before.----Sounds like something the grandson would do in the bath tub .----Sorry, could not resist a little humor.

Sorry, autocorrect changed it from wine to wind... I used a clear line from the tank to the bulb to see if there was air (wine bubbles or rice bubbles is what my local marine mechanic called them) getting in the line and again after the fuel pump to see if it was pushing air through to the engine.

Have you checked compression??? Have you checked spark??? Did you cover the correct carb as they feed opposite??? left feed right and vice versa .

Had a good weekend away, now to get to business. Compression checked the engine yesterday. The last recorded check was in 2010, and the numbers were 90-90-90-90-85-88 then, and now they are 88-88-50-88-84-82. Obviously something is going on in the no 4 cylinder. Thoughts?

Just checked compression yesterday. Cylinder no 4 is at 50 while the others are all high 80's. Spark is good. Yes I covered the opposite carburetor.
