Use old coupler On gen2

If the coupler is in good condition and the mounting holes on the flywheel line up, well, yeh why not. The coupler inside dimension is industry standard. That is, the input shaft splines for the drive are all the same whether it's OMC, Mercruiser, Volvo, etc. Only caveat is to check that the distances all work out. You don't want that coupler to be so far forward that the shaft doesn't engage enough. Measure twice as they say. Also, a quick test fit of the coupler to the drive wiil reassure you that it will be good.
I would be somewhat cautious of a rubber coupler that is very old tho...the rubber dries out over time and you may wish that you had not tried to save a benjamin when you're drifting the day away with no drive to the prop.
