Trigger Assembly - 1987 35 HP Mercury

I am hoping someone can help a rookie out. I obtained a 35 Mercury in a trade that is really clean but it doesn't run (no spark on either cylinder. I have a new stator for it, but I am having trouble finding a trigger assembly. Is there any way to test my existing trigger to see if it's bad? Also, if anyone has a suggestion where I might find a new/used functional trigger, I would appreciate it. The trigger assembly part no. is 92431A6 Thanks!!!

try cdi electronics.. find the replacement part you are looking for and check their supporting docs. They provide some pretty decent testing info on most of their stuff and you can use it to test yours..
