Tilt Trim works going down Not working going up

I have a 2000 Johnson 115 the tilt will go down but not up I changed relays from other engine I changed the switch on motor I changed the switch on controls I can jumped the large red wire on the tilt up relay to the large blue wire on the up relay the engine will go up Please help I have a tournament in a few days

Do you have any corrosion in the box where the relays plug in ??

Check the tilt limit switch up on swivel bracket...

I did check all terminal in both relay receptacles they all look nice

I manually moved the Limit switch in both directions made no change

By unplugging and plugging some wires you can bypass that limit switch. Try that.

You cannot manually move the limit switch as its a microswitch,the "L" shaped lever is for the trim guage

Like I said plug and unplug wires. They are all blue or blue/white. You're trying to bypass the tilt limit switch.

Thanks I believe you are correct what I found s the tilt limt swith it has a lever on it Were is this other switch Located ?

The switch with the lever on it is for your trim gauge. The trim limit switch is mounted under the tilt tube. Go to shop.evinrude.com, look up your motor and you'll find it.

As I posted that's the trim gauge potentiometer... the limit switch is a microswitch plunger style and it behind the front steering tube, you will see a plastic collar clamped to tube(left side looking at it from inside boat) and that's what makes the limit switch work.. just bypass it to test it.

That's why I said to change the blue wires around to bypass it.
