I have a 2002 Honda BF130 and when I put it in reverse and give it some throttle the engine comes up. Some say I have to rebuild the unit.

If your 2002 Honda BF130 engine comes up when you put it in reverse and give it some throttle, it could be due to an issue with the trim/tilt mechanism or the reverse lock mechanism. Some suggest rebuilding the unit, but before considering that, check if the Blow off valve in the hydraulic system is functioning correctly. A malfunctioning valve could cause the engine to rise under load.I have a 2002 Honda BF130 and when I put it in reverse and give it some throttle the engine comes up.
