Item 48 is the vernatherm.---But there may be more parts missing in this case.------Run to a boat shop and pick one up or order one.-----Easy as can be.-----If this motor is " new to you " do a compression test for future refrence.----Post the actual values here.-----These motors are known to have issues with broken piston rings.
 
And it is a pita to work on that. I still haven't figured out a way to avoid pulling the power head or cutting my case. They come out fine but going back in is an OMFG situation. 77 Johnson 85.
