Ams oil Injector synthetic VS Lucas Land and sea "true" smokeless.

Which one do you prefer?

I have tried both in my 2000 Merc 90 2 stroke oil injected.

The Lucas Land and sea defiantly seems to produce less smoke. But Ams oil claims to be the best?

Amsoil makes 3 oils for 2 strokes - Injector Oil, HP Marine, and if you live in the U.S.A. Saber 100:1. I have used them all and in a 45 year old Merc I want all the performance I can get; this also includes their Gear oil.
If you mix your own and bypass the injector system you can use Saber in a higher ratio say 70:1 which produces very low smoke.

Oil can be discussed all day long.------Oil lubricates the parts.-----The smoke after oil has done it's job is just an unfortunate thing.

I use Pennzoil Premium Plus, sells for about $5 sitting alongside Merc oil at $10 both per quart on the sporting goods shelf at wally world, and both meeting or exceeding the requirements of TC-W3 (Two Cycle - Watercraft, 3rd and current addition). PPP is semi synthetic....dino for rust protection and synthetic for clean running and "low smoke". I used it in a 90 and 115 Merc variable oil systems, starting off at about 80:1 at idle increasing oil ratio to 50:1 at WOT or somewhere along the way so says the service manual. Seldom do I see any smoke and find myself pulling the dipstick out to check to see if I am consuming oil.

The big guns on here living, using and associating with folks and their equipment in Florida mentioned the necessity of the dino to prevent rust problems so there you have it.
