switch out drive units

woundering if it is posible to switch out a pcm drive unit with any other name brand drive units. i got a 1988 sunliner runabout with a 351w. drive on it now is a (pcm). what would inner change with it?

Another Ford. Changing to GM or Chrysler or anybody else can be done, but the engine mounts, plumbing exhaust and electric will all differ slightly, enough to make it a major pain in the rear. If you want more power, then you should look into upping the performance of your current engine. You can get over 500 hp from a 351 with modifications, and a vortech supercharger.

I would like to keep the motor but change the outdrive unint on it.
