Strange powerhead replacement question

I just installed a new (warranty replacement ) powerhead a 95 Evinrude 225. I was able to start it and perform a link and sync procedure.
Now my dilemma, due to work and other commitments I wont have the time to perform the on-water 10 hour break-in until next spring.
Does anyone think there will be any harm if I just winterize it as is ?
Fog the motor thru the carbs AND remove the plugs and fog the cylinders. I don't see an issue but would like others to chime in with their opinions.
FYi OBR warranty replaced the powerhead due to ring locator pin failure.

You can break it in in a hour...just like factory does. Back it in water with a homemade test prop, run 5mins at idle,5 mins in gear at idle ,then raise 500 RPM and run for 5 min and advance in 500 RPM/Min stages till you get max. This is how I break-in all my customers motors...

Thanks fazt, I can probably find an hour
Yep. The boat ramp method will work fine and really you could do this in the evening/night especially if the ramp is well lit. In fact, evening is a great time because most likely you won't have anyone around that would be bothered by your boat setting there for so long. Shoot, grab some food to go, back the boat in the water and munch on dinner while you're just watching the engine run. :D

I've been known to do things like this quite often when my schedule gets crammed full.
