Where is the speedo connection on a 2009 250 ProXS Optimax?

On the engine somewhere there might be a fitting"connection" for the hose, otherwise I assume it goes on the gear housing like my 200 & 225 does, but the guy I bought the 250 from did not have a gear housing fitting so I wonder where he had it hooked to.
