shift rod height

I am trying to set/check my shift rod height on my 2000 E200FPLSIF 200hp ficht Evinrude I believe it is a 20" shaft I counted the number of rotations to 11 when I removed it but want to make sure it is correct before putting back on.​

That is NOT how to set it....Put it in neutral and measure off the gearcase surface to center of hole in shaft...Should be 21-15/16 +/- 1/32
