Replace needle bearing in the foot of a 20hp Mariner

I was replacing the propeller shaft seals in the foot of my 20hp mariner and I accidently broke the cage of the needle bearing that supports the propeller shaft. Is there any trick to replacing this bearing. It looks like it simply presses in. Any tips would be appreciated. I don't want to mess anything else up.

The numbered end of the needle bearing is the stronger end.-----Yes it helps to heat the carrier.-------Boiling water is a safe way , with no chance to overheat it.

A needle bearing housing is tempered to all the same hardness...as Racer stated the numbered end is thicker due to stamping ID. If the prop seals are removd ..heat the carrier in the oven to 350° and freeze bearing overnite. It will just push in by hand.
