How I removing oil injection pump on 2001 mercury 250hp, and disconnect oil injection system?

Why are you removing the pump? Is it faulty? Are you replacing it with new part?

I want to mix my own fuel, and rely on a system that will fail sooner or later. I've been told two different opinions. 1. Just disconnect all hoses and(cap off)from the main reservoir, and unplug alarm. 2. Same as 1. Plus remove shaft from oil pump.

You posted your engine as a EFI,not sure if it's possible to run premix with fuel injection

The 3L oil gears rarely fail as they are bottom driven...IMO leave it alone.

Ok, Faztbullet. Thanks for your opinion. I may block off the oil pump with Mercury's block off kit to be safe.
