Spun my 19 pitch alum; prop today and had to limp back at 5 knots to marina. My buddy with me in boat says he has a 19 S/S that came off his inboard/outdrive merc-cruser 350 chevy, he says that it will fit my 250 merc out-board. Does this prop spline match my motor or not? thanks..
 
There is a difference in outboard and sterndrive props.
They will fit.
The 19ss is actually about a 21al.
IF??? your motor was operating correct with the 19Al then the SS will drop the rpm's down.
You'll find it might be a bit faster but the economy will suffer.
If it's cheap buy for a backup.
 
Thanks Jerry a 19 is what i have and i was ovre-revvin so i guess i try it out an see what happens. Merry X-MASS.
