Guys:
Have Bayliner 2452.
I replaced the bellows and am on last leg of putting everything back together.
I can not seem to fish the shift cable through the gimbel housing into the boat even with a fish wire from the engine compartment.
Keep hitting metal that is keeping the shift cable from going around the starboard exhaust pipe. Fish wire does not seem to help.
Do you have to take out the 2 piece plastic bushing to get more room and more angle? Can you get bushing out without destroying it?
I tried but it seems to be locked in so I did not force anything so it is still in tact. Bet there are some tricks to this.
Can anyone help me? I am 2 weeks late getting boat into the water and I am missing the King Salmon derby here in Ketchikan.
Help please!
