Hi all, So I'm looking at purchasing a 1994 Mariner 40hp long shaft it is mounted on a 1965 Chrysler boat. The engine is hooked up for console steer. The question I have is the motor currently does not have power trim. I have a parts engine that is a 1996 Force 40hp with power trim. Will that power trim swap over to the new engine if I decide to purchase it. The boat and Mariner engine have been sitting for about 7 years, but the engine is in fantastic shape. fired right up, with no issues. compression was 100 in each cylinders. I'm more so wanting to buy the old boat for the engine, but would like power trim. I just need to know if the power trim will swap over, before I decide on the purchase. Thank you.
