Power tilt

1995 70hp Evinrude was blowing main 20amp fuse when I trimmed motor up from switch on the throttle, but not down. Figure it was a short in switch. The switch on motor will raise and lower motor. Replace switch now it doesn't do anything. Switch on motor still works. I have power to throttle and power to up and down, but doesn't tilt motor

That switch was junk and there was a updated version with handle. It is NLA thru parts dealers and can be found sometimes on Ebay. Part number 176517. I have replaced 3 in last year and they are not cheap. The Amazon ones are 100% junk as had customer go thru 4 kits before having me install a real one
