I could use some help, my Evinrude 150 runs great but I'll be cruising across the lake and it will just die. For awhile it would fire back up and not do it again for the rest of the day... this weekend it did it and would not start back up for a long time after many, many attempts. Any ideas? After it happens its like there is no spark or something... someone mentioned a "stator" but I dont know what that is or if it would be causing this.

Start with a model # as not all motors are " the same "------Does it stop like the key is turned off or does it die out slowly ??

I'm sorry I dont have that model number here at the office with me. I may have to get back on here tomorrow with it.
Its like the key is turned off I think, quite sudden.

Pretty sure thats an intruder should be a looper. That means you have the OIS ignition when was the last that was serviced.

I believe you are right about it being the Intruder. The ignition system has not been serviced since I've owned it. It was rebuilt by Texas Outboard Rebuild in Tool, Texas a couple of years ago but they may not have checked anything other than doing the block work and making sure it ran after.
