Poppet valve?

I noticed when removing the regulator that the cavity had some signs of moisture down low but on higher it looked pretty dry. Where is the pool it valve & coukd it be causing overheating when doing a lot of idling searching for brushpiles? Also my boat has had a 60lb. water pressure gauge installed & it doesn’t show pressure at idle unless you give it a small amount of fuel but has 20 lbs. at wide open throttle. I’d this the wrong gauge causing this or poppet valve or water pump needing replaced even though I replaced it s couple years sgo? Thanks

Replace impeller as the t-stat and t-stat housing are a poppet design
