Hi i have a 1996 mercury 150 efi runs great till i shut it down then i smell gas and see colors in the water and when you try to start it it acts like it flooded when i get it started again its run fine till you shut it down again always the same problem

Need to stop running it and find out when fuel leak is....you may end up swimming back
