Overheating...

Engine still overheats after running, and slowing down.

T-Stat is new, and replaced awhile ago. Funny thing the other day while I removed the Waterpump. I ran a small parts brush run in and out of the block water hole a few times, the Starbord bank seemed to release some crap. Looked like fine sand ./ Buddy is wondering if theres some casting sand left in there, plugging things up. He suggests to blast it with a Powerwasher.
Havent done the water test yet, as I gotta tow 25 miles to the ramp, pay, then move out of way, and test it.Visual inspection showed no visible obstruction.
The Waterpump, however looks BRAND NEW !!!

first suspect is the impeller that pumps cooling water from the surrounding water (the stuff the boat is floating in) into the engine thru the RAW WATER pump where it gets whizzed about by the CIRCULATING pump ( known as the water pump on a CAR engine) and then dumped into the exhaust stream and back out into the great wide waters.

Ayuh,.... Agreed,.... Yer lookin' at the Wrong water pump...

The sand, 'n crud comes from the water yer boatin' in... Not casting sand..
