I'm having same issue with 1990 v175 carburated , changed water pump housing/ impeller, both thermostats.1988 Merc. 200hp 2.4
New
T stats, poppet valve, head gaskets, impeller, exhaust divider plate gaskets. Still overheats within 5 minutes. What should be my next step? TIA

Ok I pulled my lower just to double check my impeller. I found both upper and lower impeller housing gaskets coming apart. I’ll repost once I replace parts.I'm having same issue with 1990 v175 carburated , changed water pump housing/ impeller, both thermostats.
